The house

Three reasons to leave the sofa.

Streaming is fine. But some films deserve a big screen, a dark room and a crowd that gasps at the same moment.

The Evening Ledger

Old picture palace draws full houses every night

“Like seeing the film for the first time.”

We saw an old favourite on 35mm and the whole room applauded at the end. Nothing at home comes close.

“The loge box is worth every cent.”

Wine, popcorn and the best seats in the house for our anniversary. The staff made it feel like a premiere.

“Our kids ask for the matinee every Sunday.”

The gentler sound and the lights left slightly up make it perfect for little ones on their first trip to the pictures.

Visiting

Before you come.

Everything people ask before their first night with us. Anything else — call the box office and we'll answer before the next show.

No. 01What time should I arrive?

Doors open thirty minutes before each showing. The film starts after two trailers and a short, about ten minutes after the listed time.

No. 02Can I bring food and drinks?

Please buy from our lobby bar — it keeps the tickets cheap. Bottles of water are always welcome.

No. 03Is the cinema accessible?

Yes. There is step-free access, wheelchair spaces in every row and a hearing loop for every showing.

No. 04Can I change my tickets?

Yes, free of charge up to two hours before the showing, online or at the box office.

No. 05Do you show subtitles?

Foreign-language films are always subtitled, and every Tuesday one showing has subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.

No. 06Can I rent the cinema?

Yes — for birthdays, company events and private screenings. Write to us and we'll send a quote.
